Do you think that gay men give better relationship advice than straight men?

I seem to be the “go to” guy when it comes to giving relationship advice to all my lady friends. In fact one of my best friends is always telling me about her relationship problems she has with her boyfriend. When she introduces me to her friends she tells them I am her gay best friend. She is always talking to me about her relationship problems with her boyfriend.

I told her I have no problems giving advice but I asked her to be honest and say why do you always come to me for relationship advice when you could ask any guy? She said that gay men give the best relationship advice and that straight men don’t know how the hell to give relationship advice so most girls might just go to a gay man for advice and that’s why she comes to me.

She also said she trusts me and she that gay men know how to deal with women better than straight men. Would you agree with that? Or do you think gay men don’t really have an affect on giving women great relationship advice better than straight men?

not at all. i think that stereotyping like that is wrong and actually rather offensive. im a guy and im gay. but before gay, im a guy… and a teenager… and a nerd… all being gay means is that you are attracted to people of the same sex. doesnt say anywhere about giving better relationship advice. i dunno about you. but i can safely say that i am a guy that happens to be gay and as such, when girls come to me for advice, they might as well have gone to any other guy. so to answer your question, you might give good advice but i dont so the answer is no.<br/>
